  1. lol never use power tools on slider pins
& big NO-NO using crowbar for bottom ball-joint. mk3's have fluid filled hydro bushes mate

  2. Martin thats never a MK3. and why is it a big no no,  care to educate us instead of just put his technique down? What is any different using a crowbar than a seperator tool? So long as you dont damage the bush if you want to reuse it, I see no difference in what tool you use.

  3. I understand Martin's comments but the Mondeo mk3 isn't that fragile. This guy went about his work in a professional manner considering the enviroment he was working in he did not subject the hub to any un-necessary force. He took all the necessary safety precautions in keeping the vehicle from falling which I consider more important then the hydro bushes. This doesn't appear to be the first hub bearing he has done. Good camera angle etc all things considered a very informative video.

  4. That's never a mk3 – caliper is more like that of a mk2

  5. Great guide but the subframe should have been lowered. That's the step Martin is talking about and is very important in avoiding damage to the hydro bush. It's the bush not the ball joint he's talking about.

  6. hi would it be simuler on a corsa c it looks simuler great vid btw

  7. NEXT TIME PUT THE NEW BEARING IN THE FREEZER FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE INSTALLATION AND IT WILL MAKE YOUR JOB MUCH EASIER. I ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS AND THANKS FOR SHARING

  8. thank you for such a clever detailed look on how to do this ,,,got two to do but havent got the bloody tools to do it hahahah,,w.t.f. HA,,never mind ,,but great vid thank you so much

  9. I found this very helpful, but what's the best way to remove the bottom ball joint? It's a right pain in the arse!

  10. read as: use a soft mallet, understand as: use the biggeest heaviest BFH you have cos that sucker will be rusted in there!
