Video “Speed sensor change step by step – needle speedometer problem”

How to change / replace a speed sensor by yourself on a Peugeot 206. This speed sensor is often fitted to many other Citroen, Peugeot and Renault car models.
On the Peugeot 206, if the needle of the speedometer randomly falls to zero, and at the same time, the odometer stops counting the total kilometers, we certainly have a speed sensor failure. If the odometer continues to count the kilometers while the needle is on zero, it is rather a failure of the speedometer. This video shows how to replace the speed sensor.

  6. Hi,
do you know what year this is for, I have a 51 plate (2001) and apparently there are a few different locations for it depending on the year. Thanks.

  7. I'm new to this car and I'm having the same problem. The car on the video that is being fixed, is the steering wheel on the left or on the right side of the car? Since I'm sure that the gearbox is on the drivers side (right side, viewed from the front of the car), I just want to make sure before I jack it up… 🙂
